Vehicle Accident - State Route 940, Foster Township

This accident happened on State Route 940, just west of Lehigh Gorge Drive in Foster Township.  The person was entrapped for almost 35 minutes before being extricated by members of the Fearnots Fire Department and White Haven Fire Department.  The person was flown by medical helicopter to a trauma center.

This accident occurred on Caplo Road, Foster Township.  Firefighters examine this one vehicle roll over accident.  The driver left the scene prior to fire department arrival.

DISPATCH          SECOND ALARM   

 

This structure fire occurred in the 600 block of Front Street, Freeland.  We were dispatched joint response to this 2nd alarm kitchen fire.  The kitchen area was gutted.  The fire was discovered by Chief Daniel Minor of the Freeland Police Department (shown at left on photo).  After removing the elderly female from the burning structure, he and firefighter used a 20 lb dry chemical extinguisher which held the fire from spreading.

This two alarm structure fire occurred just after 3am in Freeland.  We were dispatched on joint response, however initiated the fire attack because the Freeland Fire Department was operating on a structure fire in Butler Township and their response was delayed.  The building was completely gutted and had to be demolished.  This fire was declared arson.

Foster Township assisted Freeland Borough with this second alarm structure fire of a large abandoned building.  Damage was confined to the rear of the building.  The fire was declared an arson.  One firefighter was injured during the suppression effort.

    This vehicle fire took place on October 25, 1999 just after 2:30 pm.  The fire was located off State Route 940, near Lake Agmar Estates.

This structure fire took place at the intersection of Woodhaven Drive and Vacation Drive, Hickory Hills section of Foster Township on July 19, 1999 shortly after 12:30 am. The 1 1/2 story "A" frame home was totally engulfed when firefighters arrived at the scene.  In addition to Foster Township apparatus the 1 alarm fire consisted of an additional 1 engine, 2 tankers, 1 rescue and 1 ambulance.

Brush Fire - Sandy Run & Veteran's Road Area, Foster Township

This two alarm brush fire threatened numerous homes in the Sandy Run, Veteran's Road and Route 940.  Firefighters worked feverishly for 5 hours to bring the fire under control.  Although there were several "close calls" no homes were damaged and no one was injured.

Our fire department was dispatched on this third alarm church fire in Sugarloaf Township in 1994.  The fire occurred on Holy Thursday and was declared arson.
