EMS for evacuated residents |
|
|
| Foster Township Firefighters
responded to this Thanksgiving Day fire, just as most of their families
were getting ready to eat dinner. A stove fire broke out while
this resident was making dinner. The oven fire extended through
the stove and cooking vent. The cooking vent drew out all the heat
and prevented the fire from spreading. The second photo shows the
heat that was generated, it melted the vent and buckled the siding of
the exterior wall. The elderly residents evacuated the structure,
however, firefighters cleared the smoke in the building and they were
able to re-enter the residence. |
