An outdoor search and rescue training session will be held on May 17th, 2009 at 8 am. The class will be held at the White Haven Center. Members wishing to attend should sign up at the firehouse.

Anyone needing an accountability tag should sign up for one at the firehouse as soon as possible.

The Fearnots 2009 Fund Drive has begun. Residents who have not received a donation packet are asked to call the firehouse at 636-0347 so one can be sent out. Or, you can mail a donation to 301 Cedar St, Freeland, Pa, 18224. Checks can be made out to the "Fearnots Volunteer Fire Co." Your contribution helps keep firefighters safe and provides money to cover our operating expenses!

The fire hydrant located near Balas Distributing on E. South Street is repaired and back in-service. It was recently damaged after being struck by a truck.

The dedication of "Wagon 4", our new 2008 Swab truck will take place on August 17, 2008 at 1 pm. The public is encouraged to attend. Several speakers will address the attendees and special awards will be given out to recognize groups and individuals that have made our department successful.

Firefighters traveled to the Swab Wagon Company recently to see the progress in making our new apparatus. Photos are posted in the "News Releases" section. There were 19 incidents for March 2008. The 2008 Fund Drive is scheduled to begin the first week on May.

Busy January for Members
January proved to be a busy month for members! The department logged 19 dispatches for the month. Thanks to all members who made time to respond to these emergencies. The Department responded to 169 incidents last year!
